Chatter Ji

No..don't take offence for the title of this post. This is not concerning people with Chaterjee/Chatterjee surnames. It's about a sect of people who find it difficult to hit the pause or stop button. I am sure you all would have come across one such person by now if not many. One uncle or aunt amongst the relatives who would be famous for talking endlessly for hours. And the most interesting aspect of these Chatter Ji's is usually their family members are quite shy and less talkative. Maybe they don't want to disturb the rhythm or don't want to add more fuel to the discussion. It is not difficult to spot a few "Chatter Ji's" in office. Usually they can be seen in Food Courts amidst a group of friends, with one person doing the talking and others simply adding a "hmm" or an "ok". I have two of my friends who belong to this category. Usually they don't meet us together for they fear their chances of speaking will clash with each other. On one occasion they both came together for a friend's wedding for the bachelor's party. Though the party was over at 12 pm their chat/discussion continued till 6 am in the morning next day. We promised ourselves to get cotton plugs next time if these two people ever came to party. P.S: So are you a chatter ji? :)

Maths and Science

If you happen to see a kid getting scolded for not doing well in Maths ,you are welcome to India.Mathematics is one subject every parent wants their child to be good at it.Though the child scores exceptionally in literature and other subjects if he/she doesn't do well in Maths then he is treated as a dull student.

Times have slowly changed now as more parents have encouraged their children to do well in sports, music, art and literature.I was lucky to have a teacher in my Mom.It was her who encouraged me to take part in painting competitions ,essay writing, dance and debates. The fun part was I never did well in debates as I found that I could never mug the content or contradict the opinion of others.Everybody in school thought that I would become an artist or a painter. However later on in my career I was fascinated by the numbers and science. The result - I finished up doing my engineering.I have no regrets that I chose this way.

I still have the souvenirs, prizes and certificates from school. When I open the folder containing the certificates I can still remember each occasion, giving me immense pride and satisfaction.I gaze up and speak to myself " One day ..yes one day I am going to paint my masterpiece".

RJ ki class

Man is a social animal..how many times people start with this line in an essay ? Be it any topic related to humans or nature. Some people always have a favourite line to begin their essay.I am sure you must be having too.

As kids we were asked to mug up essay on Cow and if it turned to be another pet animal like Hen,Parrot or Dog then just substitute Cow with it.Ofcourse the physical anatomy is different but the emotion lines still hold good isn't it? :D . Some clever students however went on and said that they treat Hen like Mother as per Hindu tradition and get milk and dung that can be put to use. These clever children end up being a cock(Murga) in the class.

So tell me guys did u ever be a Murga in class or outside?

P.S: Don't ask me in return ..u know the answer :)

Me,Myself and My Mother

Ever since I was a kid..I had a fondness for the sound of the anklet. I loved to play with my Mom's anklet. The "Chan Chan" sound (okay there are other sounds as well) of the anklet would remind me that Mom was around and with her the warmth of affection.

One day she lost one of her anklets and I went crazy, looking all over the place and scolding my bro and sis for not helping me in the search. Finally I got it clinging to the bedside drawer. Gosh I wish somebody had clicked my pic at that time...It was as if I had got wings. I felt so proud and puffed my chest and upped my chin to give back the anklet to Mom. She gently stroked my hair and smiled. I still remember the smile she had on her face. I could spend my entire fortune for that.

Over the years I got over the fascination but Mom still remembered my childhoodisms. So last time when I took mom to a jewellery store, she deliberately asked for a pair of anklets.I told her..you told me we were going to buy some golden bangle..Why anklet then? ...She just smiled. That was it ...
